Catching up

I have had an exciting and busy couple of months :) last week I finished my placement at Tigerprint which was amazing! I'd highly recommend every one checks out their website and for any budding designers...get entering the competitions for a chance to see your design in M&S.

I would love to show you what I have been doing but it's top secret .. Shhh :) you will just have to wait and see.

I have also been doing some design work for 'Ask' the Italian restaurant chain. Pics will be uploaded soon :).

This week I have started my new job as a Textile designer for SMD Textiles so very exiting things are happening at the minute.

I have some personal projects on the go also and will blogging about them soon.

Hallmark Placement

Today was my first day on placement, had a really good day:) the sun shinning just topped it off. Working with laser cut designs = perfection.
Really need a laser cutter of my own in my life, best get saving.

I love this ice cream parlour with every flavour you could possibly imagine. I am going to develop a colour pallet based this theme for a new collection of surface pattern.

Graduation

Yesterday I graduated from UCLan And won the Deans award to creative contribution to Surface Pattern:)
We were lucky enough to have nice weather and the whole event was lovely. I'm going to miss Uni but am very excited for the future!

British wild flowers

Just starting to do some watercolour painting today. I'm going to study wild British flowers to base a new collection of patterns around.
A lot of the wild flowers get forgotten as people focus on more exotic plants. I feel this collection will evoke a sense of nostalgia and a reference to country living and wildlife.

Pretty Pastels

Today I have been working on developing the wild floral collection. I have enjoyed working with this colour pallet and could see these prints on textiles and stationary.
